The event will feature regional great reggae band Natural Heights plus many other great local musicians showcasing their music live after promoting their music on warfest.com leading up to the event.
Music Workshop: The Music Workshop is designed to help local musicians promote their music online and live at the event, help musicians build a fanbase and to teach independent musicians how to make money utilizing both online and offline resources. Additionally, the Music Workshop is designed to help train people who are interested in establishing a career in music and to provide a venue for networking with other people passionate about music. Guests are invited to bring their lap tops or IPhones to learn from social networking professionals on how to make money using warfest.com.
Event Info: The Music Workshop is from 4pm to 10 pm on January 27, 2013 and will consist of a music showcase of all genres of music, and live art show. Painters, sculpturs, glass blowers, clothing companies and other artists/vendors are also invited to promote or sell their product at the event. We are expecting 300+ people at the event (turnover expected).
Club Recess: Club Recess is set up as an after party to The Music Workshop for local djs looking to get a chance to perform. Club Recess will start at 10PM and will end at 2:00AM (crowd permitting) and will be 21+. Club Recess will feature top local djs, electronic groups, hip hop artists etc.

Ska is dead, we hear it all the time. I beg to differ though and I think many would agree. Perhaps the genre was more popular during its wave in the 90's, but it's popping back up and rearing its horns all over Southern California and around the globe. One band who hasn't phased out are Voodoo Glow Skulls and ska fans from all over the world are stoked they are still playing shows.
